Availability date in Batch master

Former Member

Hi All,

Batches cannot be shipped before they are completely maturated for a specified period of time. The maturity date also needs to be populated in the batch master, in addition to Production and Expiry dates. this will help to know when the batch is available for use/ shipment and also for Batch determination during picking.

SAP does not populate the availabilty date in batch master automatically .

If anybody has worked in this type of requirement then kindly let me know how to populate the "Availability Date" in batch master automatically and also let me know how batch will be picked which are matured before the delivery due date for shipment.

If any user exit or Function module are involved then do let me know the name also.

Thanks n Regards

Amit

Availability date in SAP is a dynamically calculated figure, hence it will not be stored in a table.

The date you want is still there even the batch itself is already completly consumed or sold.

Add it as characteristic to your batch classification. So you can use it as well in batch determination.

Hi,

I have added characteristic (LOBM_VERAB)of "Availability date " in classification and through user exit i am able to populate the Availability date " in batch master automatically based on GR proceesing time and production date.

Now my issue is that how batch will be determined during delivery for the batches which are mature & batches which are not expired before the due delivery date for shipment?

Let me know if batch determination strategy needs to be changed then kinldy know the step by step to reslove the issue.

Regards,

Amit
