I am not able to open CMS or CBS page.
On opening CBS, I am getting following dump.
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.session.LockException: Thread SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_112 failed to acquire exclusive lock on client session ClientSession(id=(J2EE703257200)ID0766024050DB02517232573132301255End_8499508). Existing locks: LockingManager(ThreadName:SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_112, exclusive client session lock: ClientSessionLock(SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_62), shared client session locks: ClientSessionSharedLockManager([]), app session locks: ApplicationSessionLockManager([]), current request: sap.com/tc.CBS.WebUI/WebUI).Hint: Take a thread dump of the server node to find the blocking thread that causes the problem.
On opening CMS, I am getting this dump.
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.session.LockException: Thread SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_22 failed to acquire exclusive lock on client session ClientSession(id=(J2EE703257200)ID0766024050DB02517232573132301255End_8499508). Existing locks: LockingManager(ThreadName:SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_22, exclusive client session lock: ClientSessionLock(SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_62), shared client session locks: ClientSessionSharedLockManager([]), app session locks: ApplicationSessionLockManager([]), current request: sap.com/tcSLCMS~WebUI/Cms).Hint: Take a thread dump of the server node to find the blocking thread that causes the problem.
Has anyone faced the same problem? What can be the reason?
Please help

Someone else was receiving the same error a while ago and I believe it was caused by the database. Search the forum and you should find an answer.

I searched for that but couldn't find any clues. But it seems problem with databse only as I also checked on help.sap. But how can I check if database has any problem. I have distributed portal with MS SQL 2005. Can you give related documents/threads how to check for database issues? Database settings are fine as they are loading all data in configtool and VA.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Dear Pascal Willemsen,
I am also facing the same error when I open all the Portal pages. Sometimes it is working and sometimes it is throwing error as
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.session.LockException: Thread SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_22 failed to acquire exclusive lock on client session ClientSession(id=(J2EE12751700)ID0110041751DB11898509895077376535End_1585452382). Existing locks: LockingManager(ThreadName:SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_22, exclusive client session lock: ClientSessionLock(SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_33), shared client session locks: ClientSessionSharedLockManager([]), app session locks: ApplicationSessionLockManager([]), current request: sap.com/pb/PageBuilder).Hint: Take a thread dump of the server node to find the blocking thread that causes the problem.
Can you please help what needs to be done to solve the issue.
Regards
