Dear All,

While installing ECC 5.0 in database load I am getting this error,

I am using Oracle 9 with Win 2003,

Started installation with <SID>Adm having all auth.

Database is running fine.

It seems that your database crashed.

Are you using the 9.2.0.8 patchset with the latest interim fixes for that release?

You didn´t answer my question

Are you using 9.2.0.8? I´m asking because 9.2.0.7 and 9.2.0.8 are the only versions supported. Support for those versions will end in august 30th so you will need to upgrade to 10g.

Your database crashed and this crash may be related to a too low patch version.

check if your database is up.

But I beleive that the real problem is that your Oracle listener crashed, so, try this:

Start -> RUN

CMD

lsnrctl stop

lsnrctl start

then, try to continue/restart install.

Hi,

My DB is 9.2.0.4,

and I did what eric said but that doesn't work out..

I went through Note no. 400241...but everything seems to be ok when i run those queries...

Any other idea....

9.2.0.4 is not supported with ECC5.0

upgrade to 9.2.0.8 and install also latest minipatch!

but I did it last time on 9.2.0.4...and it worked well..

Is there any problem of Authorization or any Table like SAPUSER...

If you insist on running 9.2.0.4 then you´re on your own.

9.2.0.7 and 9.2.0.8 are the only versions supported (as of now) - and they will run out of support at the end of august so it´s HIGHLY advised to use those versions. On top of that, all problems which are fixed with an interim patch are fixed only for those versions.

Please post the content of SAPUSER.log (not the full file but the lines containing the error) and we may suggest something.

If you install 10g, then you need to select that during the installation (means - starting from scratch).

It seems, that your listener is not running/crashed.

Login as <sid>adm and check with

lnsrctl stat

if the listener is running.

try commenting out NAMES.DEFAULT_DOMAIN = xxx line in sqlnet.ora file.
