Solution Manager 2.2 with MS Office

Dear All,

My company using Solution Manager 2.2 and seems there is problem to generate EWA Report with MS Office 2003. What is the requirement for Solution Manager for supporting MS Office 2003? If not, which MS Office version can SolMan 2.2 support? It is better if anyone can provide SAP Note.

Hi Henry,

You may check SAP Note 199123 for settings in MS Word.

I am afraid, that there might be no solution. Main stream maintenance for Release 2.2 ended on 31.03.2004.

I would recommend to open a customer message on SV-SMG-SWB and check for a suitable solution with SAP Support.

(Additionally, you should start a project to run SolMan 4.0)

What kind of problems do you get? Error Message?

When I generate EWA Report from Solution Manager, MS Word generate error message below:

compile error in hidden module: modMainRoutines

And it just generate up to System Configuration session.

Hi Henry,

I am afraid, that there will be no easy solution for you.

- Error "modMainRoutines" should not occur with Office 2000.

- I am not aware for a fix with Office 2003 and SolMan 2.2

- You might try to generate the HTML report, instead of a Word report.

- use SolMan 7.0

If you get in contact with SAP Support, provide the following information described in SAP Note 387519 (Analysis of reporting problems with MS Word)

Yes, 2.2 is out of maintenance.

Be sure there is no known solution at SAP, except my suggestions is my last comment. I scanned customer messages regarding the mentioned error.)

Our main system still using R/3

Can we use SolMan 4.0? Surely talking about licensing issue.
