add Application - or - Service to Space | HANA Express 2.0 SPS 2

Hello there,

i am running in trouble, because i can't manage to figure out how to add the di-builder application to a newly assigned space in a new Organisation i have created on my HANA Express 2.0 SPS 2 Instance.
This is important to me, because on the SAP Web IDE i want to be able to Build my Applications.

Its a Topic that seems impossible to find out about through google, or even the Development Guide, nor are there any Videos it seems.

What i want is simple, basically- have a new Space prepared for Development purposes on a new Organisation (btw, why can't there just be a Button for this action->add Application).

The first Picture shows you the Space which is to be seen as an Example, of what i want to achieve.

The Second Picture, shows you my current Space on which i want to add an Application or even Services later.

Thanks a lot in Advance, this is a great Community with lovely and very helpful People 🙂

Guys, i can literally not see the Spaces that i have created, even though i am logged on with the same User

Please help!

Last Question on this Topic: Could it be that new Organisations have to be connected in the Cockpit or somewhere ?

You have to enable your new space via the "di-space-enablement-ui" application. You can find the application in the application monitor of XS Advanced. If it is not started, start it and enter the UI. For your new space press the "Enable" button.

You can see it also in that SAP HANA Academy Video starting at 9:36.

Thank you for your clear Answer.

Though I am getting into trouble now. I can only see the Spaces for the User, i guess the Spaces assigned to the User, i don't really know how to assign a User to a Space in Order to see it in the

di-space-enablement-ui

and when i go in with the User that i guess i created the Space with, i can't get in, the Message: "forbidden" (guess due to missing Privileges, i am not really sure which Roles need to be assigned to a User in order for it to be able to access the di-space-enablement-ui

Florian, i am really not able to see the spaces, even though i have created them with this exact same user, and have assigned them the Management, Audit and developer Role.

As I don't know your current setup I cannot really give more hints. But if you are using HANA express, you can use the XSA_ADMIN user to do the stuff.

Yes, but I wanted to do everything in a new Organisation. I have tried everything possible.
Even the XSA_ADMIN User cannot see the spaces when assigned in them.

The Solution, after having tried everything possible, obviously lies on my Primary Question:
You can't see a Space in the "di-space-enablement-ui" -unless it has the Application: di-builder attached to it.

What you are saying is wrong!!

Is your user an OrgManager of your new org. If not assign it as Org Manager.

In general I would recommend to read through the S&A Guide for XSA to get an understanding, instead of posting wrong statements here.

I am going to restart the "di-space-enablement-ui"

If its still unsuccessful restart HANA, and then get back.

I gave up.
Now i am just going to use the Standard Organisation Provided by SAP and create a new Space.

I understand that my former assumptions were wrong. Though i was still not able to succeed in what i was trying to achieve. My Current Setup is almost Identical to the SAP HANA Express 2.0 SPS 2 provided on SAP CAL, some users have been added.

It is a said thing that you can add Organisations but not use them for development purposes.
I guess you would maybe have to connect the new Organisation to the Cockpit or somewhere.
