While Working on Excel sheet as Data source i'm having the following Error

Hi Experts,

While i working on excel sheet as Data source i'm getting the following error.could you please help me to resolve the issue.

Is it a Authorization problem. Else Excel Sheet was wrongly placed.

are you trying to edit with Webi Rich client or BI launch Pad?

Where is excel file placed? This issue is coming in new report or you are editing existing report?

Trying to Edit it from BI Launch pad

Excel is placed under the public folders

This is the New report no report was built on Excel sheet.

Hi Vinay,

You haven't mentioned the version of your BI Platform, but there was a bug for this issue in earlier versions:

2220521 - "This query cannot be edited" error occurs when creating or editing WebI document with Exc...

Please make sure that "Desktop Interface - enable local data providers" right is enabled in CMC -> Application > Web Intelligence > User security.

have you tried in Applet mode? it seems you are trying in HTML mode.check in Applet mode.
