SUM tool issue SAP solution manger upgrade

Hi,

We are going to upgrade SAP solution manger 7.1 Dual stack( ABAP +JAVA) to 7.2 Dual stack.

Please clear some question .

1: Generate Stack File From Maintenance Planner .

First is Generate JAVA stack Sap solution manger than i Upgrade ABAP . Please confirm Its Right or Not?

Please provide Right Procedure to upgrade solution manager .

3: First i do Dual stack Split System than apply sum tool ? Please clear

Couple of things with the split. During the split, I would select to copy my java ports and it all worked, however at the very end when you remove the java engine, I had to manually change my ports in the instance properties for the java engine with the proper instance number. make sure to watch the ports!!!

also, you will need to register a new SID, get a license, add it to SLD and do all that jazz. Delete the old SID\java engine from SLD. you may want to setup a trust between the 2 sids.

anyways, its a long upgrade with many details. do a couple of runs first.

I am not understand this blog i read it.

I am confused Some Point Please clear .

I have done All prerequisite in Existing Solution manager .

My Question is . i have done below two step.

1 : i am downloaded Stack From Maintenance Planner first Java than ABAP.

2 : Second i applying the same through the Sum tool .

first i Split the SAP system than i Apply Support package please clear.

Please provide the Procedure
