Enable Data Provisioning Server on HANA, express edition

Dear experts,

I do not seem to be able to enable the Data Provisioning Server on my HANA, express edition.

When I set the the dpserver value to 1 for both the System and the Hosts, the Hosts value is reset to 0 during a restart and therefore the dpserver never starts:

However, when I try to add the dpserver to the system database, that fails as well:

What am I missing?

Very many thanks in advance

Frank

    Hi Frank,

"feature not supported: Only applicable to user databases"

    read:

"feature not supported on the system database of a multitenant database container system: use a tenant database"

dpserver is part of Smart Data Access/Integration (SDI/SDQ).

In the Feature Scope document, this feature is (currently) listed as not supported for HXE.

    http://go.sap.com/developer/topics/sap-hana-express.html

However, technically it should work in a tenant. See our SAP HANA Academy playlist for HXE:

    • Thank you Denys,

I did not realise that the error message referred to a tenant database when it was mentioning a user database.

Also, your reference of supported HANA, epress edition services is very helpful as well.

I got it all working now.

      Very best regards

      Frank
