Process oriented storage control for replenishment

Experts, maybe someone give me a hint: We have a ItemPick area (storage type 2500), which is replenished from the casepick area (storage type 3104). If no stock in CasePick area, we need to move a full pallet (storage tyoe 1103( to a temp storage bin (storage type 3105). After moving the pallet, we need to pick e.g. 5 cartons of the full pallet (to a pick HU) and then move the partial pallet back to another storage bin (in storage type 3103). Is this possible to be setup somehow? Thanks Michael

Hi,

this looks more like using a pick point (and layout oriented storage control), when process oriented storage control.

Hi Jürgen,

checked LOSC and this is working for HU managed stock location.

But we have as well bulk storage locations, stock is on bin level (not HU) --> in this case it's directing me to the final storage location, not the Pick point. Any ideas how to achieve this as well? Something like - create product WT on the bulk storage to my case pick location, and when confirming this WT with an HU, system changes the WT to be moved to pick point?

Hi,

how have you set this up? I mean, the Pick Point, what storage type role did you select? While layout oriented storage control requires HU, the documentation says "with the exception of ID and pick points". So it should work without. But you source storage type needs the flag "Pick point used" (or something like that) and the pick point storage type needs the storage type role B or C.

The flags in the layout oriented storage control do not control anything in this scenario....

At the end I need this:

I create a task from the full pallet location to my ItemPick bin. System will create a task to the temp CasePick. Here the replen qty is picked. After picking, a new task is created to bring the rest pallet back into the pallet location
