Currently the installation of SAP BODS 4.2 SP02 is on SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 3. So do I need to upgrade the BI platform also in order to have BODS SP08?
The version of BI you are using is not certified for use with Data Services 4.2 SP8. You will need to upgrade BI prior to upgrading Data Services. See the product compatibility matrix in KBA 1740516 for the compatible versions of the software.
