SAML2 sso setup on ADFS

Hi,

We had SAML2 sso setup on ADFS for our ABAP systems and the single sign on worked fine.

Now we added a web dispatcher for one ABAP system. We wanted that SSO also works for web dispatcher. However, we still have a bunch of users using the old URL accessing to the ABAP system, if we enable SSO for web dispatcher, the old URL would fail.

So is it possible that can enable SAML2 sso for both web dispatcher and the ABAP system itself.

Br,

Jason Wu

Hello Jason,

Yes, that is possible.

The last section of KBA 2332686 called About Back button, describes a configuration in Authentication Requirements, Assertion Consumer Service URL with value Application URL.

With this configuration, you can have the possibility to access the SP using both internal and external URL.

The only limitation of it is that SLO will not work. It will be necessary to close the browser to terminate the session.
