Hi,
How to convert XML file into XSD Using Altova XML Spy.
I want to use that XSD as an External Def in my IR

In XMLSpy you can generate XSD based on XML. Go to main menu -> DTD/Schema -> Generate DTD/Schema ...
check this on as a primer

You can download xomlite45.jar from sdn
copy the jar file to your java installation location like c:>javain
Java jar xomLite45.jar MyFile.xml
then you get correspondig MyFile.xsd

Hi Suman,
Open your XML document in AltovaXMLSpy.
Go to the TAB "DTD/Schema"---->"Generate DTD/Schema".
It would ask you for the location(where to store) and name the schema file.

Hi,
Open your XML document in ALTOVA AMLSPY and then go to DTD/SCHEMA in the Menubar and select the option "Generate DTD/SCHEMA" and click OK.Than it would create the document which u can save to your local drive and import that into XI as External Definition.

If you have .net framework installed ,then there is a command line tool with name "xsd.exe". Using this you can create XSD file from ur XML file.I am giving u the link about how to use it.

Also try Altova Xml spy tool for doing the same.
