Profit Center in Payroll Accounting

Is it possible to configure a wage type to hit only the profit center

instead of the cost center with GL account?

For example, the employee's master cost center is 1910 and the profit

center linked to this cost center is 1900.

I have linked the symbolic account of wage type 2000 to a GL 521000

which is of type revenue. When posting is done, it enters the cost

center 1910 as well as the profit center 1900 for wage type 2000. I

can confirm this by viewing the posting on 521000 through the FI

tcode.

My user requires that cost center should not be entered here and only

profit center should be there. Is that possible?

I could not find any configuration in spro which is specifically for

profit center. There is a node for 'Set up fixed cost assignment' but

again, it fixes only the cost center for the wage type.

Would appreciate your comments.

Zubair,

By standard i guess you cant do that. I saw ones a development to do that in some project. I guess, you will have to do that, to develop this.

Hi Ruben,

So you mean that it has to be done using a user exit?

The solution that i finally provided to my client was to set up posting for fixed costs using a WBS and hence got to the profit center through the WBS.
