When creating a new PM notification it is possible to fill in manually a wrong coding code reserved for other PM notification type. This shouldn’t be possible to do so, only assigned coding codes should be allowed.
Hi All,
Thanks for your kind information & support.
I found the most suitable solution for this issue is we can have to mark the checkbox to coding profile in SPRO, so system not allows to fill in manually a wrong coding code into PM notification.
Please refer the following SPRO path for the required setting in a system. 🙂
Menu path: IMG->Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Maintenance and Service Processing->Maintenance and Service Notifications->Notification Creation->Notification Content->Define Catalog Profile
Just select the Cat. Profile & fill appropriate value for the Field "MessageTyp_during_insp" i.e. S-Message on next screen, I-Information A-Cancel, E- Error& W-Warning.
Thanks & regards,
Pradeep

Have a look at the following user-exit via SMOD:

Try making these fields display-only. Then the user can only select from the assigned catalogs.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
We already offered the same to our client, but they want to get error message if user tries to enter manually the wrong coding code in PM notification.
That's why we are looking for any OSS note if any of any user-exits available to address the issue.
Have a great day ahead. 🙂
Thanks & regards,
Pradeep
