Manually Enter GL for PGI in Delivery

Hello Mates,

Business has complex one-many structure between Functional Area (FA), Cost center (CC) and GL AC, hence they are currently manually inputting in a Reservation and GI to CC using MB1A currently. I am in the process of implementing HU & WM. If I go by the option of creating a Delivery from the HU managed SLoc, the Delivery has the Dummy customer as Ship To. I can't get Sold To/Ship To, hence can't determine the Route and ship to address. If I go by the option of creating a Sales Order, I can't automatically determine the FA, CC & GL. There is no field to let user manually enter FA, CC & GL in SO, carry over to Delivery and post the GI from the Delivery using the same FA, CC & GL. Please suggest.

Current process is purely an Inv. Management process using MB1A to issue against Cost center as mentioned in the initial post "Reservation and GI to CC using MB1A currently". Also I have mentioned that "I am in the process of implementing HU & WM". To clarify further I am trying to design the new process using SD, WM, HU, Delivery and Transportation. In doing so, I am thinking of two options mentioned. One doing Pick/Pack first and do PGI. In this option, I need to be able to get the manual input of FA, CC & GL in Sales Order, carry it to Delivery and do the PGI using those. Sales Order doesn't have field for manually entering these and that is the issue. The other option is do the GI first and then do the Pick and Pack. The advantage is Reservation has fields for manually inputting FA, CC & GL. Also GI posted with ref. to Reservation easily passes FA, CC & GL to Accounting Doc. However, Delivery created for Pick/Pack can't have Customer address, hence route can't be determined and ShipTo address can't be referenced and used in TM. I hope the issues in both the options are explained better.

Yes it is a bit clearer but not clear enough.

Is it a real sale to a customer or is it just a goods issue to cost center which you want do with the deliveries?

And who does in your org the goods issues, an accountant or is the warehouse worker smart enough to enter the right combination of FA, CC & GL ?

I think you need a bigger meeting with consultants and not just field in the delivery, as the whole story does not sound like having processes integrated with each other. At least the information is still too little to understand the complexity (or simplicity) of your current usage of the SAP system to make a meaningful suggestion.

Doing goods issues (which should be done with deliveries in future) with MB1A sounds like you are only using MM right now.

On the other hand, terms like route, ship-to, sold-to sound as if you have SD in use too, but it looks as if it is not integrated with MM if you do delivery related goods issues to a cost center in MB1A.
