How to Setup Replication Server ASE

Hi Experts,

I want to replicated ASE DB to stand by server

Os WIndows

DB Sybase

I created the Standby instance from the Production Server Instance with same SID I need to replicate the DB to the Stand BY Instance Please any provide me a solution how to replicate the DB to Stnadby.

The "1650511 - SYB: High Availability Offerings with SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise" link didn't work for me.

The typical thing to do is setup warm standby replication in a Sybase replication server. Unfortunately, the replication server isn't a simple turn key operation. You'll probably have to take classes to get up to speed. Also, the repserver requires extra licenses (although a warm standby repserver license is included for free with the new Edge Edition of Sybase ASE, replaces Small Business Edition. A partial solution is to use ASE clustering to tolerate CPU/memory type failures. But it doesn't help with disk failures. And requires special licenses.

If data update rates are low, you could use transaction log dumps or new differential (also called incremental) dumps (dumps all changes since the last full backup. Don't have to worry about transaction logs filling up)
