HCM Process and Forms SAP_PA is defaulting the Previous values of Personnel Area , Sub area and Group and subgroup while checking the form.

We have created a Rehire form where we are selecting an employee and providing a position which defaults the values of

Personnel Area ( WERKS)

Personnel Sub Area (BTRTL )

Employee Group (PERSG)

Employee Subgroup ( PERSK)

to the previous assigned to the employee after termination.

Is there some config we are missing in the HR forms and processes to restrict the same.

Please help us in finding the solution for this issue

Not following your question. This is how it reads....

You have a "Rehire" process.

You are picking a previously terminated employee.

You assign a position to the employee which should then set all their org related fields (WERKS, BTRTL, etc).

User presses "check" on the form.

All the org values are set back to what the employee had before and not what the user selected (through the new position).

That sound correct?

I definitely think your config is messed up but I am having trouble understanding your steps (and thus visualizing your config).

Hi Christopher,

Thanks for your prompt response.

Your understanding is correct. But we are not sure where the configuration went wrong.

The issue which we have found till now is the values are getting fetched through the custom generic service but the values are getting overwritten when SAP_PA service is getting called.

Kindly help us in finding the missing config.

We changed the fields Personnel Area , Employee Group and Employee Sub Group as editable for the rehire action.

Now it is working fine.

Thanks Christopher
