Create text file and attach to external email

Gurus,

I have created a text file with "SWL_WI_NOTE_CREATE". When I save the file it shows up as an attachment in the workflow conatainer. I bind the workflow attachment with an internal(inbox) email but the attachment does not show up on the email. However, when I look in the workflow log and double click on the email task the attachment shows up.

Does anyone know what I am doing incorrectly? And if so can I also send this to an external email and how?

Thanks in advance,

Scott

Hello Scot,

You said you "bind the workflow attachment with an internal(inbox) email" and you are importing the attachment into the workflow container, but have you created the data flow between the method and task which sends the e-mail? Seems that the attachment is not being passed to the send mail task. I don't know what the version of your WAS is, but I also would advice you to have a look at note 722724, considering those points.

Andre,

Thanks for the reply. I guess I don't understand why it shows up in the workflow log. If I double click the email task I can see the attachment click on it and it comes up. But in the inbox there is no attachment on the email. There seems to be a disconnect when the it is emailed. Any suggestons?

Thanks,

Scott

Andre,

Thanks for your help. I never did get this to work though. I can see the SOFM attachment in the workflow log and on the email workflow item, however, the attachment is not on the email in my inbox.

Thanks again,

Scott

Scott,

Are you passing the SOFM instance to task which is responsible for making dialog work item (in your inbox), you gotta pass via workflow to task (In binding):

&SOFM& -> &_Attach_object&.

Cheers

Jai
