Insert Appropriate values for fiscal year and period

Hi all,

While trying to save project created using project builder (CJ20N) in the development system, error message: "Insert Appropriate values for fiscal year and period". It is a customized error message.

No error when project is saved with PD alone. Error comes when I try to save the project with root level WBS element(no network, or any other element)

Kindly suggest what needs to be done to fix this error.

Hello,

I suspect that a validation is at work at top WBS level. It comes into play when you try to save root WBS but not when you save PD. This validation is defined in project profile for automatic validation.

We have a similar scenario-- a check at the time of setting the top WBS to CLSD.

The problem has been solved when automatic validation was removed from project profile.

It's a guess:

Though there seems to be no identifiable link, the error text suggests it's got something to do with budgets.

Try the WBS creation/save after de-activating the availability control in the budget profile.
