Hi Marc,

No standard data manager package available for copy comments in the SAP BPC microsoft version.

Hi,

As far as I'm aware there is no function for that (which I find rather strange). My best suggestion, by no means elegant, and also depending on the number of comments and whether they're posted in a few or many reports, is to mimic the reports they're been posted to, with one column to retrieve the original comment and one to post it to the new Category.

I've created a Copy Range that copies the Retrieve comment and Save comment formulas into the report. I've also put in a couple of EPMSelectMember formulas to allow the user to enter source and target for the comment. Then it's just a Refresh and a Save, and the comments are copied.

Hope it helps!

Thanks cecilia,

Can you help me how we can copy the comments by EPMSelectMember fomulas.

I am able to create a variables for the Version dimension with the "copymoveinput (%selection%, % toselection%)option in datamanager package. But I am not able to pass this variable values in the "script logic or in lgf file ". We have Version_set for selection and toselection command is not available. Can you assist me here how can we pass the variable for toselection in LGF file

Thanks in advance.

Venkat

Hi Venkat,

My solution is entirely in the EPM interface. I wouldn't know how to retrieve a comment in a logic script (if at all possible). However, I attach an example script with a user entered target category, which may help you.
