SAP BW 7.4 (Oracle) migration to SAP BW 7.5 on HANA / SAP BW4HANA

Hi gurus,

I'm working on a company that currently uses SAP BW 7.4 and we are planning to rebuild our BW almost from scratch on SAP BW 7.5 on HANA aiming for a migration to SAP BW4HANA in the future (2019+). We have a couple of projects implemented on our BW 7.5 on HANA, one of them using BPC Embedded.

With that said, we are struggling with several questions that perhaps you guys could enlighten:

1) During our first project on SAP BW 7.5 On HANA, SAP QA lead consultant advised us to NOT use ADSO for Planning, so we used real-time InfoCubes. He alleged that ADSO for Planning wasn't working well for many functions, but didn't give any details.

Having in mind a future migration to BW4HANA, we are planning to develop our current planning applications from SAP BW 7.4 using Integrated Planning and ADSO for Planning instead of real-time InfoCubes. Is it safe to use it or are there any drawbacks?

2) Is ADSO for Planning supported on SAP BW4HANA? If so, is it mature enough to substitute the same complexity we can deliver in SAP BW 7.5 on HANA?

3) On SAP BW4HANA which options do we have for financial planning ? Which are supported and recommended?

4) On the company I work for, we are substituting MS Excel for Google Sheets. That would render our BPC planning application useless, since it uses Excel add-ins (EPM / Analysis for Office). Is there any prevision of SAP planning solutions integrate with Google Sheets?

5) We have some planning applications we created using SAP Design Studio 1.6 + SAP Integrated Planning (plus Dashboards) on our BW 7.4 (Oracle). Is SAP Design Studio supported on SAP BW4HANA? Is SAP Design Studio even on SAP roadmap at all?

6) In our BW 7.4 (Oracle) we have several scenarios in which we transform data using Transformations performing lookups and complex calculations in different levels of aggregation. Final result is then stored on another database, generating redundancy.

In BW4HANA, which is the recommended technique to virtualize that kind of scenario and avoid redundancy? Should we use Calculation Views or Transformation with Open ODS View?

7) Which is the recommended application development tool: SAP HANA Studio / Eclipse or SAP HANA Web based Workbench?

😎 How many attributes can we have on an InfoObject on SAP BW 7.5 on Hana / BW4HANA?

9) On SAP BW 7.5 on HANA we had the following issue: If we insert an InfoObject that is inactive, the ADSO gets an error that cannot be fixed and we have to delete and recreate the ADSO. Is there any way to fix it?
