Error in calling RFC in MII JRA Block

Former Member

Hi Colleagues,

I'm not much familiar with MII. Here I'm working on a scenario to call ABAP Function Module in SAP MII (14.0 SP7). The same is actually working fine with Quality system. But I need that to be working from with Development system. So I have changed the system and the credentials in eis/SAPJRAFactory of Application Resources. Now when I execute the transaction I get the below errors.

1. I tried to with creating new transaction with the JRA Action block. When I give the Function Module name in configuration and on click of OK system prompts for generating request/response documents when I click on OK again I get the following error Unknown error has occurred; Character reference "" is an invalid XML character

2. On executing with the existing transaction which has a Request XML assigned (the same request xml works in quality system) I get Unable to make RFC call and Uncaught exception from SAP_JRA_Function_0, while trying to invoke the method com.sap.mw.jco.jra.JRA$ManagedConnectionImpl.getClient() of a null object loaded from field com.sap.mw.jco.jra.JRA$ConnectionImpl.m_managed_connection of an object loaded from local variable 'this'.

3. Please note the FM is same with Quality(Works fine in MII) and Dev system(RFC fails). And in both the systems the SM59 Connection XMIIRFC01 fails on Connection test / Unicode test. And XMIIRFC01 does not have any configuration or system details set in Netweaver Application Resources only eis/SAPJRAFactory is set with all details.

Kindly provide your suggestion or any valuable inputs to resolve this issue.
Thank you in advance.

Please don't ask a new question -- posted as an answer (which I've converted to a comment) -- in an old thread from a Former Member. You won't reach anybody this way. Instead, ask your own new question here: https://answers.sap.com/questions/ask.html

I recommend that you familiarize yourself with https://community.sap.com/resources/questions-and-answers, as it provides tips for preparing questions that draw responses from our members. Feel free to take our Q&A tutorial at https://developers.sap.com/tutorials/community-qa.html as well, as that will also help you when preparing questions for the community.

Kind regards,
