Downloading Smartform to Excel sheet

Respected Experts,

I have a smartform of packing list.

The client wants to download the smartform as it is to the excel sheet.

i.e with the header which consists of shipping address and billing address and a lot many things and also the main table.

The client says that it wants to download the smartform as it sees on the screen in the excel sheet.

Is this possible?

You can download the form as excel format using the function module 'RSPO_DOWNLOAD_SPOOLJOB' .

Hi,

1. Get the spool no. and convert the OTF spool to ABAP list.

2. Store the list to memory and convert to HTML using FM WWW_HTML_FROM_LISTOBJECT

3. Download or send the HTML tagged list as Excel using FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1

This has a lot of disadvantage (like all data is placed in one column and hard to be editted by user, and this was a no-go for them). But this is one easy to implement.

Hi ,

i too have same problem in smart form.i got one fm 'RSPO_DOWNLOAD_SPOOLJOB' .that may be used for converting OTF into Excel.

try it and update ur response to me.

Hi ,

U can convert the Smartform Output in to Excel file. u dont

have any Function Module to do this...

But u may have the Smartform output information in any

internal table rit that can be downloaded into Excel file.

You can download a smartform and it gets stored in .xml format..I doubt you can download in excel format..
