Hi

Iam carrying out settings for an automatic credit credit check. In FD32 what are all the important fields should I maintain.

Which is the field the system calculates for the value. Iam confused on the Total amount, Individual limit in credit limit assigned and Credit limit field in credit limit data. Can somebody tell me as to where and how does the system calculate the values for credit for a particular customer.

Thanks in Advance

Srikkanth

hello, friend.

i assume you use automatic credit control. the Risk Category is a very important field. you can make an entry in this field at the Status tabs after you make the settings in OVA8.

now in the Central data tab you will find 'Total amount' and 'Individual limit'. within a client, it is possible that a customer is valid in 2 or more company codes/credit control areas and that this customer has different credit limits in each of these credit control areas. the 'Total amount' refers to the total of all these credit limits. the 'individual limit' represents the highest single credit limit the customer can have. for example:

customer 19999

credit control area A001, credit limit $100,000

credit control area B002, credit limit $200,000

credit control area C003, credit limit $300,000

total amount $600,000

individual limit $300,000

in the Status tabs, you will find another credit limit field. this credit limit is for the particular credit control area. of if a customer is assigned to 3 different credit control areas, you will have 3 credit masters - 1 in each credit control area.

regards.

Hi Jon

Thanks for the valuable reply. If The customer is valid for a single company code and sincle CC Area, than is it mandatory that the total, individual and the credit limit will carry the same values or can we maintain different values.

If we can maintain different values, the system will check against which one of the three for credit against the customer.

Thanks once again

hello again, Srikkanth.

you are very right! if the customer has only 1 credit control area, then the total amount, individual limit and the credit limit can have the same values. there is no problem in having different values as long as the total amount is greater than the individual limit; the individual limit should at least equal or be greater than the credit limit (in the status page).

when you do credit check, the system uses the credit limit in the status page.

regards.
