Material is not a serialized material - Maintenance not possible

Hi ,

I have changed material master for material D80 to add serial profile Z002 to this material. And i could add serial number on Delivery item lvl. But when i tried to add serial number via Handling Unit(Packing) screen of VL02N, it pop up below message:

May i know wherer could i found the 'Additions --> Reread serial number profile'...

The material D80 is no serialized material or the serial number profile is not relevant to handling units.

Serial number maintenane not possible.

Procedure

If, after the creation of this handling unit item, the material master of the material was changed regarding the serial number profile or if the customizing of the serial number profile changed, choose the function 'Additions --> Reread serial number profile'.

Did you get to know how to reread serial number profile for HU. What is the menu path?

You can assign materials with serial numbers in handling unit items. If these handling units are used in deliveries or material documents, the serial numbers are automatically copied to the subsequent documents.

The serial numbers in handling units are supported for the following operations:

Creation and modification of handling units

Goods receipt and goods issue of handling units

Repacking and transfer of handling units

A storage location can be labeled as subject to HU in Handling Unit Management Customizing, that is, only stocks located in handling units can be stored in this storage location. If a handling unit is located at a storage location subject to handling units, it has the movement status realized with stock information .

A serial number can only be in a maximum of one handling unit with the movement status realized with stock information at any one time. The serial numbers can only be used with this handling unit.
