System received an expired SSO ticket

Former Member

Hi,

We are getting the error as "System received an expired SSO ticket" when the browsing through different tabs and it is happening only for some users.

We have increased 'login.ticket_lifetime' to 12 hours and SessionExpirationPeriod is the default value i.e 27 hrs.

SSO ticket is not expired yet. Users are getting this error within 12 hrs of login session.

In order to solve the above problem what all steps need to be taken.

What will be the impact if 'login.ticket_lifetime' and SessionExpirationPeriod are increased to more time?

What can be the maximum time be increased for a session to remain active for about 16-24 hrs?

Thanks,

Rajani

Hi,

What will be the impact if 'login.ticket_lifetime' is increased more than 12 hrs and SessionExpirationPeriod are increased to more than 27hrs....will it be helpful?

If yes,to how much I have to increase so that the system will not receive an expired SSo ticket.

Thanks,

Rajani

Hi,

Does your error Descriptions says this?

com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: System received an

expired SSO ticket.

if so, The SSO ticket has indeed expired .The default expiry time is 8 hrs. If you leave a system for more than this

time, the ticket will expire. In that case you might need to increase the timeout.

There was also a bug before NW04 S14 on the Web Dynpro runtime on this. If you think you have a valid

ticket and you are using something older than SP14 please upgrade to latest SP.

Hope it helps!

Gud Luck!

Cheers,

Mohan.
