How to create a variable time-line?

Hello everybody,

we would like to create a query using a variable time-line.

That means in concret: The user puts in the the periods he would like to compare. E.g. period A 01/2007 - 03/2007 with period B (01/2008 - 03/2008). The input should be therefore flexible so that the user can select any periods he wants.

How to process this now in a query and workbook? Does anybody know about that?

Hi

Create variable as time interval on the characteristic & create structure of months by using selection in columns on same characteristic. When user enters time interval in report you will get as per your structure & you will be able to compare as you want

thanks for the answer. But the problem is that any month should be displayed in separate!
