Installation error in XI

Hi All,

In visual administrator we transfer the roles into the user groups this is giving the error "role assignment failed " during installation in XI.

I got this error while giving SLD service providers and transfering the roles.

Can someone help me.

You have to generate the roles for SAP_XI* and SAP_SLD*

go to transaction code PFCG ---> Utilities ---> mass generation

then give SAP_XI* for first time, then again with SAP_SLD* and finally for SAP_BC_AI_LANDSCAPE_DB_RFC

choose Utilities ---> mass comparision and give SAP_XI*

then u need to specify SLD data supplier

check all these things are properly setup

Have you done a client copy after Database Instance and run Java Instance on the copied client. while running the instance instance did you choose proper UME. you should have choosen the option which specifies Exchange Infrsstructure only (the second option). This error comes if you choose wrong UME.
