Data Provisioning Agent doesn't start from Command Line

Hey Experts,

I'm following the Tutorial to start the Data Provisioning Agent for Smart Data Integration via Command Line Tool because i want to deploy it as Windows Service on my Server.

I'm follwing this Tutorial at Step 3.3.3.2 http://help.sap.com/download/multimedia/hana_options_eim/SAP_HANA_EIM_Administration_Guide_en.pdf

When i start the Agent by executing "dpagent.exe" i get following error.

I'm not too familiar with Windows Server so this eroor makes no sense to me, Does anyone had the same Problem and could guide me to a solution?

Greetings

Hi Oliver,

There's no need to run the dpagent.exe.

To start the SDI data provisioning server, you do this via the service that you will see in the Services panel in Windows. As part of this process, the dpagent.exe is used, but it should not be started manually by double clicking the .exe.

If you intend to run the configuration tool, there's a different executable you need to start in the ConfigTool subfolder. Also from the configuration tool, there's a button to start and stop the data provisioning agent.

Thanks,

Ben.
