Subcontracting:Sending one plate & getting Two-How to achieve ?

Hi,

How can we achieve following via subcontracting and what are the postings /

If we give one MS plate as single piece and want it to be cut into two pieces of either eual sizes or unequal sizes.

Hi

First of all you should have 2 separate material Master...

For eg. you are Giving One 1010 plate to SCVendor and getting back Two 105 Plates..

For this...you should Create 2 Separate material master, One for 1010 Plate and Another for 105 Plate with its own Valuation Price...

Now you are going to get 105 Plates from the SCVendor...for that you provide 1010 Plate..

So Create BOM in CS01 for 105 Plate.....and in components list you give 1010 plate as 1 qty....and in BOM Header detail....Base qty maintain as 2 qty...

ie) you are giving 1 Qty and getting back 2 Qty...

Now Create PO to the SC Vendor with Item Category "L" for 2 qty of 10*5 plate....

In Item Details ---> Material Data Tab ---> Components Field ---> you can view automatically system proposes 1 qty of 10*10 Plate...

Now in ME2O...Issue this 10*10 Plate to SC Vendor...

then Do GR for the PO...you will get 2 pcs of 105 Plate in 101 + M.Type....during that GR...your one 1010 plate will be automatically consumed in 543 O- M.Type...

Hi Arjman!

Note that while creating BOM for the product in CS01 you have to tick the RECURSIVE tab and give the base quantity as 2.

Now proceed with the PO as usual.

Hi,

In the BOM you can say 1 Raw Materials Makes 2 plates etc. And the movements and purchasing side will automatically reflect this.
