Reference key 1 and Reference key 2

Dear Gurus,

While posting transactions,I have entered values in Reference key 1 and Reference key 2.

The values are coming in table BSEG, however, no values are coming in Line item reports(FBL3N)

Is this SAP standard? Or I am missing any setting?

Hi,

I have changed the layout and included Reference 1 and Reference 2 in the layout..However, though values could be seen in the document display(and Table BSEG) but nothing is coming on Line item display.

Hi Kamal,

Please follow by SAPNote 215798 FBL*N: Special fields are not displayed.

After define 2 reference key fields as Aruna's suggestion, it is need to check structure REPOSXEXT via se11. Then start program REPOSXEXTEND by se38 to regenerate REPOSXEXT structure. The last step is to execute report BALVBUFDEL by se38 to reproduce history data. If do not process the last step, you will see new special field in only new transaction, but all previous posting transaction still show blank data of these special field.

Please Change the layout of the report.Execute FBL3N for the GL account and press ctrl+f8 and include the Reference Field 1 and 2

Hi Kamal,

Iam not able to understand why it did not work. Iam sure once you make that config, those fields will be available in the layout (actually you have to create a new layout..)

Hi Kamal,

Yes.. Its a missing SAP functionality. There is an additional config that you have to do to bring those fields in the line item report. Goto SPRO >>Financial Accounting >>General Ledger Accounting >>Master Data>>Line Items>>Define special fields for line item display, and add XREF1(Reference Key 1) and XREF2 (Reference key 2) from BSEG table . This will make the fields Ref key 1 and Ref key 2 available for line item display.

i checked the config. Ref. Key 1 & 2 were added from BSEG table. But it still doesn't work.
