ECC 5.0 Database Installation Error-Urgent Help

Hai Everyone

I m installing ECC 5.0 on Win 2003 with Oracle 9.2

I successfully installed Central Instance,but i was having problems with my database instance..I would really appreciate if someone could help me by seeing the log files..

Let me give you the complete details of my system and the problem.

I got 6 DVD's( ECC 5-IDES version) software(Windows/Oracle) from kprofit.

I have C Drive(20gb-XP Professional)....D Drive(My personal Documents)......E drive(15gb-Windows 2003 Ent Edition)

Now I have connected External USB Hard Disk-120 GB to my System..I have copied all my ECC 5 Software(6 DVD's) into my External USB Hard Disk.It has taken 24 Gb Space...I still have 90 Gb free space in my External USB Hard Disk.

I was trying to install ECC5-IDES version using Windows 2003 on my External USB Hard disk.

I have done the OS configuration,Java Installation,Oracle Installation with Patches.

I have successfully installed Central instance without any hassle.

Now the problem started with database instance installation.......Let me give you more details where exactly i m getting the error in database instance installation......After giving the path for all Exports(1 to 😎 ,we ge this step(SAP DATABASE LOAD>SPECIFYING GENERAL LOAD PARANETERS).Here I didnt do any changes,i have taken by default settings,Wen I click NEXT button.....................here the problem starts........Its not allowing me to go to the next step which is CHOOSING MULTI NATIONAL LANGUAGE SUPPORT..

What you see here? I'm think the full path contains BLANKS (spaces) change to F:/ECC_5.0/DVD_1/

Thanks for providing more details. Could you please do the same suggest by Sergo.

Not 100 % Sure whether the problem is because of same as it states " File system node F:\ECC 5.0\DVD 1\dbexport1\EXPORT1/DB/ORA/DBSIZE.XML with type NODE to DBSIZE.XML copied successfully ". ( Data is copied )

Also try to recopy the dump once more .

Hi. I'm think you need to close this thread and open new (the ECC 5.0 Database Installation Error-Urgent Help is complete).

About system components -> In menu tab press SYSTEM> STATUS --> in system component press on magnifier.

Tell in more detail. You download DVD, they were in RAR format or not? If they were in RAR format that you them have unpacked and have copied on the external device. I correctly understand you?

Which is your source drive ?

Provide the location of dumps ?

I can't edit my message, therefore I write continuation.

If you really have unpacked disks is admissible on a desktop unpack once again on a disk C:\, and then copy on the external device, and try again installation.

I have checked that completely and I didnt see any problem with what you said...They were located in drives without any space only.

The F:\ECC\DATA exist in your system? If no create a folder and restart installation maybe it's help....

Hi. If the full path contains blanks --> Exemple G:\distrib\sadb disk\disk1 change to G:\distrib\sadb_disk\disk1

Hi. You copied the installation DVDs to disk.

You get the error FSL-02015 Node <path> does not exist.

In this case, make sure that the paths to the location of the copied DVD do not contain any blanks.
