SolMan 4.0 SLD

How can I populate the SLD installed with SolMan with system information defined manually in SMSY? From within SolMan do I need to export the system landscape to an XML file and then import into SLD?

or should I have a Central SLD set up on another system and forward landscape information to the SolMan SLD?

There may be a way of exporting/importing, but I wouldn't recommend it. Would require manual effort everytime you patched your systems.

If your sattelite systems already have an SLD, go to Administration > Data Supplier for that SLD and enter a data supplier entry for your Solman SLD. http://<server>:<j2ee port>

If it is an ABAP only system and not already populating an SLD, simply point to Solman's SLD via txn RZ70.
