Conversion Exit

I am confusing about conversion exit. How do use it, and when should I use it? Please clear me with some examples.

you use an exit when the standard functionality doesn't support what you want to do... If you want more details, you'll need to be more specific.

Bill,

A conversion exit is mainly used in BEx query variables. When you right click and select restrict on a query change view, you will have an option where you select or create a variable. When you create, you select variable type etc...
