Hi, I need advise from the expert.

Currently we plan to setup new plant. The first plant will be manufacture a FG (Item A) and this item will be send to second plant as to manufacture FG (Item B).

Two seperate BOM will be create.

- First plant will have FG (Item A) BOM

- Second plant will have FG (Item B) BOM in which (Item A) will be their purchase part.

My question will be how we should create material master (Item A) as we only can define one material type for this item. Either FG or Raw material.

If we need to create 2 code for this 2 plant, how can we link this 2 item togather. Actual item is the same but the item code will be different in 2 plant.

Try by creating different new material in plant 2 from the FG item A, so that material A will be FG in plant 1 and will be one of the component in plant2.

Any way of link this 2 item togather? Easy during stock taking and item identification.
