Where to find Basic Version of SAP CPS?

Hello, it is my understanding that there is a "Basic Version" of SAP Central Process Scheudling that comes on the NetWeaver installation CD's. I tried looking in the SAP Service Marketplace download section for this, but could not find it. Any insight on how to locate this software for download would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Dean,

Please refer Note 1105341 - SAP Central Process Scheduling by Redwood 6.0.2 SP8, it explains how to get the basic version.

"You can download the sofware from the SAP Service Marketplace (SWDC ->Download -> Support Packages and Patches -> Search, "(Scheduler)" ).

Please use SAPCAR version 6.40 patch level 4 or higher to unpack the

archives."

The latest version of SAP CPS stand alone is 7.0.3, but I suppose you do not have the basic version of this - Note 1134748 - SAP Central Process Scheduling by Redwood V7.0.3

By the way SAP has also come up with NetWeaver integrated version of SAP CPS which is in a ramp up phase and you can participate in the rampup and get the basic version by contacting SAP - Note 1115655 - SAP NW Central Process Scheduling Release Note for SPS 14. You will need NW 7.0 Java Stack SP 14 to configure the netweaver integrated SAP CPS.

Hi Sam, I tried to view the notes in sap service marketplace, but it only displayed an empty msExplorer window. Then I selected all notes for xx-part-redwood and was not able to view any of them. is this possibly a permissions issue? and if so, any idea whom I would contact about it?

Seems to be a permission issue, are you able to see other notes... raise a message with SAP under XX-SER-SAPSMP.

Service Package 8 (SP8) is the eight repack of SAP CPS version 6.0.2. This

Support Package contains the latest builds of all executables and includes

all the latest PL/SQL patches available at the date of production.

Installing SP8 brings all existing and new SAP CPS

installations immediately up to date.

SAP CPS 6.0.2 SP8 is currently the latest Support Package and contains

Fixed Issues in SAP CPS 6.0.2 SP8

SP8 includes an accumulation of fixes for SAP CPS version 6.0.2.

The number of SAP Systems that can be managed using the free basic version

is limited to eight systems per SAP CPS installation.

Known Issues

None.

Pre-requisites

The Oracle JServer Virtual Machine (JVM) is no longer a prerequisite to

install SAP CPS. The JVM is a however a prerequisite for installation

of the BC-XMW integration. This Service Pack has no other pre-requisites in

addition to those for SAP CPS 6.0.2.
