Hello community,
I've just set a regkey for the saprules.xml location, but the trace of SAP Logon and SAP Logon itself tell me the path is wrong and loading the file failed.
The regkey itself should be correct, it's in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\Security], is called "Location" and contains the path
C:\Users\xyz\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common - type is REG_EXPAND_SZ but I've also tried REG_SZ.
The SAP Logon trace Shows, that SAP Logon takes the regkey and adds /saprules.xml at the end of it.
But again, my path is written with forwared slashes, not backslashes. In every guide it says Forward slash. Is this a SAP issue? I have already copied the file to another location and tried it with a backslash as well, but no success.
Just to be sure that I am not missing anything here, besides the saprules.xml file also SAPLogonTree.xml & saplogon.ini file resides in that directory & the path in regedit you mentioned is actually
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\Security, not in the
Wow6432Node path. By the way you are facing this issue in which OS(32 or 64-Bit)??
Also just to be sure that we both are on the same page, please check out the below,
