Page Layout (Print settings)

Hi All,

When we click on Execute in background for any transaction, a pop-up box appears in which the last option is Print settings & in this we find Format.

When i click F4 i notice some pre-defined formats already existing, may i know how i can define my own format here. Eg: i want to have 65 rows & 135 columns.

Hope my request is clear, await inputs.

The page formats are tied to the device type of the printer.

These are defined in transaction SPAD, Full Administration.

You can define it there, but you need to have knowledge of the specifc printer device type.

Hi Doug,

Thank you for the invaluable input. Is it possible to have a common page format say for all dot matrix printers irrespective of the make or is it dependent on the make as well?

Also is it possible to increase just the font size? I mean not in SPAD, but while i select printing, can i increase the font size? Actually the problem is once i run the report & print it, the font size is a little small, so i want to increase it just before i hit print. If such a thing is possible, can you let me know how?

Dot Matrix printers are pretty generic, so I would guess there might be some ANSI device type you could use for all. You'll have to determine that based on your printers.

Font sizes, layouts, page headings, etc., are all set in the page format for that device type. They cannot be changed individually at print time. You'd have to create a format with these settings, and use that format at print time.

Thanks
