Changes for SAP PM in S4 HANA 1709

Hello,

Please suggest the changes has been done by SAP for plant maintenance in S4 HANA 1709.

I have already gone through the 1709 simplification list but nothing is clearly mentioned in this list about the available/working functionalities in 1709.

    Check up on the SAP-Documentation on S/4HANA 1709 such as this PDF : link

    See Page 140 in the Document where "Asset Management" is treated, indicating 'Delta' and 'New' Components to that Area.

    I realize that this is somewhat General information, but I would suggest Contacting your SAP Account Contacts or Consulting Group to further investigate. They will also need more information than you Query ...

    ("Changes done in 1709" ... as opposed to What - ECC vs S/4HANA? Compared to older Versions of S/4HANA? What Specific Comparison are you looking for, what Business scenarios do you want to see Validated in 1709-Version?) I feel your Question is a little too Generic to provide a meaningful Answer ...

    Hi Ashish,

    I am not seen any major difference in the standard PM processes, SAP only improve the existing functionality. I can able to capture some of the following points compare to SAP ECC.

    •With S/4HANA Maintenance Management adapts FIORI Capabilities to boost user experience.

    •The role of a Maintenance Planner as well as Maintenance Technician generated a seamless integration and unified user experience between new FIORI based and non FIORI based user interfaces.

    •Leveraging the new capabilities of search based on HANA provides fast and simple access to one or multiple objects within FIORI Search, Information Center as well within the applications value help.

    •The FIORI App Request Maintenance allows employees to easily create maintenance requests using mobile devices.

    •40 List reports for PM (AVL) having field “counter” added that contain value “1” for each row.

    •Ability for the Technician to record unplanned Jobs.

    •Large number of improvements to simplify data entry using copy functions to create maintenance order. and maintain information for each operation.

    •Full-text search for business objects and documents.
