HI

For simple LTP process

  • Create PIRs for selective materials under different version. Make sure to create them as Inactive. You dont have to create PIRs for all the materials.

  • Create Planning Scenario and assing Plant, PIR version. Release Planning scenario.(MS31, MS32)

  • Execute Long term Planning run- MS01

  • Check related information of LTP in Node

Production -> production plannint -> LTP -> evaluations.

Dear Amit,

Generally LTP is carried for selected Finished products, that too in the Financial year begining, for budgeting purpose.

After carrying out LTP run,we will get simluate planned orders, which cannot be processed for further actions.

Important settings are in T code - OPU5 - Scheduling Planned orders for LTP,Here itself you maintain the planning scernario for

individual plant.

1.Demand will be given in MD61 for the products for which you are planning to carryout LTP in non active version, that's other than 00

and also remove tick mark against the check box for active in MD61 screen.

2.Mention the planning scenario which's been configured in MS31.

3.Assign the plant and Planned independent Requirements in MS32.

4.Planning file entries in MS20 and display it in MS21.

5.Carryout LTP run in MS02 and the simulated planned orders can be checked in MS04.

6.capacity requirements for LTP can be viewed in CM38.

7.Transfer of planned activities to production can be done in KSPP.

I hope to some extent this will help you.

Dear Amit,

For creating PIR's,in the input screen in MD61 ,you can select the Reference Button(Press F9) and

select any one of the following option,

Material Forecast,SOP Results for Product Group, Copy SOP results for materials,Flexible Planning,Original Plan or you can enter

the values directly.

The important setting is create the PIR's in some inactive version other than 00 and also dont forget to remove the tick mark against

the check box for active.

As per your routing details the capacity load can be viewed in T code CM38,for the work center's for the planning scenario used.

Hi mangalraj

I have created prod plan for product group say

pg-400 and disaggregate plan to its member. Now I have got the SOP plans in different inactive versions(this version is having field length 3).

Now in MD61, version is having field length 2

So which sop version Plan will be copied to MD61. I am getting the error "No prod plan for the members.

Dear Amit,

This you can transfer using T codes MC74 or MC75 to demand management and while transfering enter the target version as some LL

or VB,as it should not be 00 as you want this plan for LTP.

After trasnferring the requirements to demand management, check in MD63 for version say For EG LL ,whether the values are correct.

Now carryout LTP run for all the FG's after assigning to planning scenario in MS32--->MS02 -

>you will be able to see the simulated

planned orders in MS04.

Check with this & revert back.

IF any more queries, revert back and if solved reward points and close this thread as answered.

Hi Mangalraj,

Thanx for ur input.

I have one confusion regarding Capacity planning that I have selected few materials for long term planning ,so it can be possible that my other materials are also manufactured on same work center on which my selected materials are manufactured.

in that case , capacity load will not give exact situation.

Please give some inputs.

Amit
