When use BI 7.0 u will get as SAP_LOCAL SYSTEM

u need to select this for BI7.0 version reports

i don't know the exact reason why it is showing like that but SAP has suggested us to use SAP_LOCALSYSTEM for bi7 reports

SAP_LocalSystem is a virtual system, pointing to the WAS of the calling portal itself. If BI is installed on a different system, you cannot use SAP_LocalSystem.

Hello Art,

For integrating BI with Portal please go through the following notes.

SAP Note: 937697

SAP Note: 917950

In the first note you have a par file download it and upload in the portal. Once done. go to 917950 note and there you will find a link

<http|https>://<j2ee_server>:<j2ee_port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.ip.bi.supportdesk.default

which will show up a screen with the configurations you have done and the corrections you need to do.

Hope this helps.

Cheers-

Pramod
