Problem in Print PDF custom Action Block

Former Member

Hi All,

I have two server, one is test server and one is production server.

I am trying to print a PDF file through a transaction by using a Print PDF custom action block.

In both the server Acrobat Reader version is 6.0.

From test server i am able to print, but not from production server.

I have migrated Print PDF custom Action block from test server to Production server and re installed Acrobat Reader version 6.0 in Production server once again.

But still I am not able to print from Production server.

Any ideas?

Thanks & Regards,

Manisha

Hi Manisha,

most of printing problems come from the Local System account and printer installation.

MII 11.5 normally runs under Local System account. If you install a printer driver locally then

printers can be seen from Local System account. Trying to use ANY imported network printer

will fail! Switch MII running under specific user or install a local printer driver.

Hi, please check the iText Library in the production server.

Manisha,

The PDF Print action is a TCS developed custom action and has no reliance on the iText library but rather on the Adobe Acrobat installation. Be sure that the Windows SYSTEM user has permissions to access the library. Also check the logs and Windows Event Log for error messages.

Sam,

After I executed my transaction,i checked the event Log.It is throwing an error message.

"An unhandled win32 exception occurred in AcroRd32.exe [10128]. Just-In-Time debugging this exception failed with the following error: Debugger could not be started because no user is logged on."

Please suggest me?

Thanks,

Manisha
