Hello Experts,

We are on s/4 1709 and Fiori 4.0.

A custom workflow is created and when it is triggered entry get generated in My Inbox.

The requirement is Notification should also appear in Fiori launchpad.

Relevant roles are available.

Demo Notification provided by SAP is working.

Kindly suggest inputs so triggering the workflow will also show notification in Notification center in Fiori launchpad.

Let me know if details required to be shared.

Thanks & Regards,

Ashwini

Hi Ashwini

Please refer to my blogs on Notifications for the steps needed to turn on notifications and set up workflow notifications

You will also need to configure your custom workflow task id in txn SWF_PUSH_NOTIF1 as explained in the blogs

https://blogs.sap.com/2017/02/13/leading-s4hana-ux-notification-center-part-1-activation/

https://blogs.sap.com/2017/02/14/leading-s4hana-ux-notification-center-part-2-providing-notifications/

Hi Jocelyn,

I am facing the same issue. Demo notifications are displayed but not the custom workflow in my case it is PO Notification. I have configured the workflow task id in the SWF_PUSH_NOTIF1 but still unable to get the notification.

I have followed your blogs and all the settings are in place.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Jocelyn,

Same for me as mentioned by Purushothaman. Could you please let know if something else needs to be done for custom workflow to have notification configuration.

Thanks & Regards,

Ashwini

Have you:

a) Checked the Job SAP_WORKFLOW_PUSH_NOTIFICATION is automatically scheduled in your S/4HANA system. You can check this in transaction SJOBREPO.

b) Checked the bgRFC queue - you should see something coming through in Monitor bgRFC Queue

Usually it's the bgRFC configuration that has not been done correctly - you need to use the EXACT names including the specific bgRFC destinations and user ids for this. Custom values are not permitted.

Rgds
