Create tabular data along with grouped data in crystal report in one section

Former Member

need to create a purchase bill which looks similar to image below.

To achieve this I created a standard crystal report in table format which works as expected. But I want only 3 fields in tabular format and others fields are common like Name, Phone so want to print only one time. I grouped the data by Customer Name because I have to print the same receipt for multiple customer.

If I put fields in detail section those fields will repeat giving look like table and I need to put other field like Name, Address, Phone in group footer section. Doing this will keep section footer below tabular data but my design is grouped fields are also in same section as of tabular data.

How should I accomplish this? Could you please provide any reference or guide me through this problem.
To achieve above output I have tried two ways of report designing which are as follows.
Format 1

Its output is as below

Format 2

Its output is as below

In format1 details like name are below tabular data where as in format 2 tabular data is not being repeated.

Hi Bhushan,

1. Insert a new Group Header 1b section.

2. Move the Student Name, Grade, Roll etc fields on Group Header 1a.

3. Go to the Section Expert > Highlight Group Header 1a > Check 'Underlay following sections'.

In your Format 1, you have the Student Name, Grade etc on the Group Footer.

Move that to a new Group Header 1a section as described in my previous post.

Hi Bhushan,

Please post a screenshot of how the report looks at the moment.

P.S: If you need to print the name, address etc once for each Customer Name, you should place these fields on the Group Header.
