Catalog item shopping cart error

Hi,

Could you guyz please help me with the following issues...when I do the punchout from a catalog i am getting the error 'system BE1 (ECC backend) of purchase org differs from doc reference SR1 (SRM server 5.5)'. both BE1 and SR1 are client copies of production and I have done all the manual config for the copied client and changed the logical systems but still I get the above error. Are there any particular changes to be done in terms of catalogs after client copy? what is doc the error refering to? I checkked the Porg its been defined for the correct backend (BE1).

when I click on shop and select the product (relicated from BE), while adding this item to SC got the error 'No authorization to purchase from product category xxx', but for the same material and product category I can create a PO (through process purchase order) or a contract. I have assigned the rite Product categories to user and PGRP. pls help me fix this issue...did I miss any config?

Hi Shankar,

I'm not sure about the cause of 1st message. Most possible cause of error is not all reference to backend logical system is update. Apart from running transaction BDLS, change RFC connection and backend settings in configuration, you need to run txn PPOMA_BBP to change attribute values which are refer to backend (BDLS will change the extend attributes). The attributes are ACS, BSA, BWA and SYS.

Hi Shankar,

Check whether the Product categories were relevant for purchasing.

SPRO > IMG > SAP Implementation Guide > Cross Application Compinents > SAP Product > Product Category > Assign category hierachies to applications

In that check whether the entries were maintained for purchasing and product or not.

For Purchasing the Hierarchy I.D should be R3MATCLASS and for Product the Hierarchy I.D should be R3PRODSTYP.

These get automatically populated during master data replication.Also in the extended attributes of the P.Group maintain the concerned Product category I.D instead of " * ".

Hope this helps you in resolving the issue. Clarifications are welcome.

Thanks for your reply. I checked the config setting you mentioned and everything looks good...any other ideas?

FYI - there are two question in my post.

1st part reg the catalog, as soon as I pull the item from the puchout catalog i am getting the error mentioned in my post. May be a thing to be noted is when I click on item detail i do not see any info in COMPANY CODE and LOCATION. but product category is transfered properly.

2nd part is reg the shop category not authorized error.
