    enhancement using function module badi using class and methods

    enhancement is only single project activated

    but badi is multiple implementation possible

    Hi Anil,

    Depends on what you are referring to by Enhancement.

    If it is the classical enhancement viewed from transaction SMOD then the above differences are apt.

    Also one more difference is:

    Enhancement (SMOD):

    1. Implementation is done via creating a project (CMOD)

    2. A enhancment component is a function module which is called from a program using the syntax CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION 'nnn'

    BAdi (SE18)

    1. Implementation is done via creating an Implementation using transaction (SE19)

    2. A BAdi can have multiple implementations and you can use filters with Implementations (cannot with enhancemnt projects)

    3. A BAdi is called in one of two ways:

    a. Using cl_exithandler=>get_instance and subsequently calling the method of the instance

    b. Using direct command GET BADI in the new enhancement framework

    However, in the new SAP enhancement framework, a BAdi is a method of implementing an enhancement, it is a type of enhancement.
