VS Optimiser considers only net weight and not Gross weight

Hi,

We are using 4.1 APO system for planning, the VS optimiser does not consider the gross weight of a material, instead plans only based on the net weight. The materials Base unit of measure is KG and there is significant difference between the net weight and the gross weight. When there is a order of high volumes, it planned shipment cannot be executed as the cappacity of the vehicle is in-sufficient to load what APO VS optimiser has planned.

Is there any settings to make the VS Optimiser consider the gross weight instead of net weight to plan the shipments.

Actually this would depend on the Split unit that you have configured. I dont know how it works in 4.1 but in 5.1 if the split unit is configured based on the gross weight of the product, the VS opt would consider it.
