What is considered most pragmatic and effective when Integrating cloud for customer and a Microsoft third party application. There is the option of using the standard Soap services provided by the cloud for customer platform. Could this integration be done through Process Integration (i.e defining two endpoints for incoming data from c4c) ? What is the applicability of such integration process and what is considered as best practice

Hi Mohamed,

You can use the SOAP APIs for a "pragmatic" approach. All information you need around integration can be found here below, click on the "SOAP APIs" area:

This scenario can be achieved. What are the integration scenarios are you trying to achieve? ODATA services could be used as well.

1. Is SAP PI your integration middleware?

2, If you only need to push data into C4C, you can use A2X webservices found here https://help.sap.com/http.svc/rc/8ed4581a228646178e4f8cc38b0cf951/1711/en-US/IntegrationServices.html

3. If you want to push Data into C4C and as well push out data when changes occur, use A2A webservices which you have to activate via scoping. You can find integration scenarios here

Hi Grayson,

Thanks for your timely and thorough response. I reached to the fact that I can use the standard SOAP services provided by c4c. The materials and links you provided are helpful and beneficial, thanks again for that. However, my question here is "Can I use the PI middle-ware as an adapter between c4c and the third party application, and is the considered as best practice?". In other words, what is the applicability of replicating the Idoc outgoing from PI to erp to reach a secondary endpoint such as the third party application.

Hi Mohamed,

Not fulling understanding your question, but yes SAP PI can be the middleware adapter between C4C and third party application.

Grayson

To further explain the question, how can we define a third party application as an endpoint on the SAP PI to be able to push and pull data between third party application and C4C? (Defining Business and Technical Systems on PI and binding it through integration builder)
