    Hi,

In a sales document flow, you have a sequence of docuemnts which are created to complete a transaction

e.g. First billing document is created

    then sales order

    finally delivery document.

Now when you check the VBFA table (sales document flow) for sales order -

the preceeding document for the sales order would be the billing document (document from which sales order was built) and follow on document for sales order is the delivery document (i.e. document created from sales order)

    Basically :

Preceeding => Immediately previous/before in the document flow

Follow On => Immediately next/after in sales document flow

    Cheers,

    Aditya

    hi

    good

    Preceding document

The document that precedes the current document in document flow. For example, if a user creates a sales order, the preceding document might be a quotation.

    Follow-On Documents

Display a history of the documents already generated (for example, shopping cart, purchase order, confirmation) and also control the follow-on documents. You can define which documents you are expecting and which procedures are to follow:

¡ A confirmation of goods receipt or performance of service is expected. (In this case the employee receives a corresponding entry in the application Confirm Goods Receipt).

    ¡ Invoice expected

    ¡ Confirmation-based invoice verification

¡ Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS procedure)

    thanks
