In Split valuation u have the option of using more than one type of material. How ever the total stock valua is aggregated at the material master price and then updated.

Suppose u have bearinbgs from two companies A and B.

Bearings from company A has standard price of 4 and total quantity 10 and bearings from company B has moving average price 5 and quantity 10.

Now the tota value of teh stock is caluculated in this way

    value of A + value of B

=410+510=90 and now the price for this material is \

    90/20=4.5.

since the price will vary depends on different types of materials taken...split valuation should be in moving average price.

    BR,

    Krishna
